Throughout the country, on rural farms and in urban high-rises, our nation’s children are experiencing a hunger crisis. Today more than one in six children face hunger in masai community , living in households that lack the means to get enough nutritious food on a regular basis. This statistic is troubling, but there are concrete solutions available that can help to meet the needs of hungry kids. the federal nutrition programs have strived to address childhood hunger and ensure children have a chance to grow up stronger, smarter, and healthier. These programs include: • School Breakfast Program • National School Lunch Program • Summer Food Service Program • At-Risk Afterschool Meals Program • Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children
