Global Welfare Association (GLOWA) is a counter-trafficking NGO based in Bamenda, Cameroon. Established in 2004, GLOWA seeks to educate communities regarding child trafficking scams and empower and rehabilitate survivors of human trafficking. GLOWA has various initiatives to aid in the rehabilitation of survivors. Sew-A-Future is one such initiative. This innovative sewing program offers refugees of trafficking the education and support necessary to develop into dynamic professionals and to prevent the recurrence of abuse. Students are taught sewing and other various hard skills, as well as entrepreneurship and personal business development education. The Sew-A-Future program is in great need of sewing machines and equipment to sustain the initiative. The money raised from this campaign will fund the shipping of donated machines from the USA to Cameroon.
