Hi.... I am Evonne Betty from Mombasa, Kenya. I am a single mum of 8( 5 daughters and 3 sons). I am an SGBV( Survivor of Gender Based Violence)
I have a very long story that I hope and pray one day will be an inspiration to many.
Through out my life I have battled with so many things and the point it hurt me the most was seeing my children suffer or go through hell for some things not of their making. I push myself to limits beyond me till finally I have gotten a chance to make things better and to change our destiny.
I have gotten a chance to join a local college to study and become a nurse. It's a 3 year course , full time and while we are not in class, we will be at the community level helping the sick. This has always been my passion but with how life was shaping up for my children and I, it felt as if it would slip away. I am forcust to study hard to make a different to my children and my community at large.
I want to be able to do something as simple as buy my children shoes for school, pay their fees, provide then with 3 square meals a day and support them in their dreams.
with a humble heart, my family and I would like to ask you for help to make this chance a reality.

I'd like to encourage others that when you fall, the ground doesn't have to swallow you , instead you raise up and use it as a stepping stone to change your destiny.
