Hello everyone
I am Kudakwashe Masiyana, a human rights activist from Zimbabwe currently residing in South Africa looking for greener pastures .I am reaching out to you all today due to my current distressing situation. On the 2nd of October, I fell victim to a scam, losing a significant amount of 190,000 rand—funds that I relied upon for my business endeavors. My business involved aiding individuals in Zimbabwe to purchase goods from South Africa, conducting errands for a fee. Since the scam, I have been unable to continue my business operations. Despite reporting the incident to the police, they have informed me that it's a civil case requiring court proceedings. Simultaneously, my father had a car accident back home that led to a fractured leg. To support him, I borrowed money from loan sharks, known as "machonisa." Unfortunately, the 12,000 rand I borrowed has now ballooned to 27,000 rand in just two months due to their exorbitant 50% interest rate. The loss of my capital has rendered me unable to repay this debt, as I am presently unemployed. I am in a state of despair, uncertain about the way forward. I have missed one month's rent and find myself at a loss, sometimes considering giving up. My responsibilities weigh heavily on me—I have a wife and child in Zimbabwe, and my parents rely on my support as the eldest. I humbly implore your assistance. Any help you can extend would be immensely appreciated. Thank you for considering my plea. Warm regards, Kudakwashe Masiyana
