My name is Lilian. I live in Cuba, and I have an impossible dream. Since I was a child I have always wanted to sing, and study music. But, as I live in this place, it has never come true. I live alone with my mom, who is divorced and retired. My father does not give her a pension because I am already eighteen; and the government gives her a salary of 2000 pesos per month. Nowadays in Cuba, one US dollar equals 170 pesos. So my mom receives approximately 11 dollars per month. I am studying here in the University because it is free, otherwise I could not do it; therefore I do not work and do not have a salary. I found this school who has already accepted me in the US to study Musical Theater. That is my dream, my passion, that is why I am here on this earth. In order to go to the visa interview I need to prove that I have the money to pay for at least the first year. That is why I am here. Please, if you could help me gather the money. I have no possibility of raising it myself. I have nothing to offer now, but when I am famous I will give back the money to an NGO :), and will thank all of you on the TV.
