Pakistan has over 8 million hepatitis C patients living with this silent yet a deadly disease. I am raising funds to create three short emotive films as part of my campaign to spread awareness amongst Pakistanis. I first learned and researched hepatitis when I made documentaries (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6b6NNpJzbmE&t=4s, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbZJYP8txIs) for The Health Foundati(https://thehealthfoundation.org/home). The health foundation as an organization has been thriving to make Pakistan a hepatitis-free country. As a filmmaker, my relationship with the health foundation has been an emotional and informative journey. It certainly has encouraged me to continue making documentaries on health issues in Pakistan as well as social issues. So, I am raising this fund to create three narrative-driven impactful short films for the people across Pakistan so everyone can understand the importance of life. Each short film will show the life of a hepatitis C survivor. The three separate survivors will show encouraging signs of resilience, and bravery, as they will struggle in getting back to normal life for the sake of their families and for themselves. The health foundation will receive 50% of the funds raised, which will go towards their cause of providing free treatment for hepatitis C patients.
