Happy paws Liberia is the first only animal rescue and shelter facility in the country. A lot of dogs and cats are left roaming , untethered and unvaccinated, as a result, A lot of dogs are suffering in the streets and subjected to being hunted for meat by the dog eating communities. Dog meat is considered a delicacy in most communities in Liberia. Humans have been exposed to bites from some of the stray dogs and cases of rabies in both humans and dogs have been highly registered by the ministry of agriculture. Loop holes in government policies have made it very difficult or nearly impossible to mitigate this problem. your support will start a campaign to protect most of these dogs and cats and as well as humans. thank you
