On 30 March 2020, the First positive case of coronaVirus was confirmed in Rwanda, this has changed everything hectically leading to the social Economic disruption here in Rwanda, the government of Rwanda has taken different measures and extraefforts curbing the spread of this virus. The social distancing was applied and everyone was forced into confinement by this unprecedented global pendemic. The progress is interesting as a result of joint collaboration between people and government. We believe that everyone is a victim of the Covid-19 but the chance is that everyone is a potential solution of the Covid-19.

Although the government has tried supporting the people after strict measures imposed in response to the Covid-19 out break, Many Tenants around Kigali are suffering,yet they constitute a big number of population who are feeling the direct effect, it is a group of people around the community who are severely affected by the Covid-19 and lockdown ,This campaign seeks to address some of the challenges which include lack of Food, and rent as their basic needs to live peacefully.

As part of this, employment chance is totally low since most of them have been suspended from their jobs due to the closure of all businesses, most of them lost hope and this can cause them phycological trauma . so it's very difficult for them to survive for now . A direct action is needed to help them getting survival means for the next three months, at least they can see that people around them are thinking about them and give them a chance to reflesh their minds for future benefits.

The average cost of of house rent here ( ghetto) stands between 53$-64$ , and food stands to at least 30$ for a full month. We understand that it's not easy to feed someone but at least we can try to help one. At least everyone need 100$/ Month or 300$ for the next three months to survive the lockdown. Your generosity can redeem their hope and help them to revive their dream now and beyond.

A lot have been done , Edified Generation Rwanda (EGR),via the Alumni of IMBUTO Foundation has supported few of them , Helping to get food . This round we realized a serious gap which needs your intervention, we want to engage you and your friends to impact together the lives of Tenants. At least 100 tenants will be able to survive the Lockdown and the related consequences. As the cover photo shows, 200 tenants received food and we hope you can back our initiative as soon as you can.
