My name is MUKAMA GRACE I'm a Ugandan aged 35 living in the Eastern part of the country ( Busoga region)
I am the co-founder of DOVE CHILDREN'S INITIATVE a non-profitable initiatve formed with an aim to make an improvement in the welfare of the unprivileged children in Uganda most especially in the Eastern region where there is high poverty rates which has caused many uncertainties to the lives of these children such as poor Education, child neglect and abuse, child Labour, poor health and the rampant increase of orphan children with in the region and the country at large.
We started with 15 children but we have seen our numbers increase to 50 more within a very short period of time and we believe these numbers will keep on growing because there are many Vulnerable children out there and the fact that we are willing to help as much as we can.
Due to the ongoing global pandemic of covid-19 our financial muscle has been hit hard since almost 90% of our financial support was being directly generated from our businesses and yet the business had stagnated since the whole economy was affected due to the pandemic. This meant that we could not get enough resources to cater well for these children.
On behalf of the project therefore, Iam writing to you seeking for your support in any form of Donations. Your donation will have a very big impact on the lives of these children and hence bringing us closer to our goal as mentioned above.
