Hi!
I am Salma Saidi Maulid from Tanzania (East Africa). Self employed in agriculture sector.
After making a deep survey on sunflower farming in Tanzania, I realized that there is a shortage of sunflower materials to process cooking oil in Tanzania. Thus there is a high demand of cooking oil in Tanzania.
The process of imported cooking oil have been on the rise in the past two months reaching as high price as 83000 Tsh for 20 ltr in many part of Tanzania.
Tanzania annual demand for edible oil is estimated at 500000 tonnes, while domestic production is only about 200000 tonnes. Tanzania spends around 80% million per year on importing assorted cooking oil brands from countries such as Malaysia and some neighbouring countries.
Tanzania government strategy 2016, designed to transform the sunflower sector through coordinated intervention by improving production, processing and marketing in local, regional and international market.
So help me rise 50000 USD to increase sunflower production. As you know sunflower is one of the most important oil seed crop grown in (Singida-Tanzania). It is also a major source of vegetable oil in the world and preferred among the consumers due to its health appeal.
Thanks!
