Hi there!! My name is Salma, a 20 year old from Somalia in East Africa.I still live there. I am being married off by my guardians to this old man(65) just for them to get dowry. I am also forced to undergo FGM(female genital mutilation) on the same period that i am being married off. This coming January. This has dug a pit in my stomach and I'm in deep sorrow. In this situation, I will be forced to quit school coz of this forced marriage.
I have nowhere or anyone to turn to nor do i have parents. The goverment doesn't work here coz there is always war and corruption. My life is just going down the drain. I need financial assistance, this will help me move away from home and go to some other place and start supporting myself there and start life. I do not want to be married off to this old man.
