Hello! During this time of the COVID19 pandemic sweeping the global stage. There has been massive loss of jobs, closure of business owners mainly in the informal sector causing major economic regression. It's therefore on these grounds that I appeal to you well wishers to help Uganda in particular it's youth to have a foundation and basis of recovery when and if a solution is gotten to this global pandemic.
Ugandan youth comprises of over 70% of the country's total population. The national unemployment rate stands at 9.2% while the youth unemployment rate is at 13.3%. 83.5% of the Ugandan youth are employed in the informal sector and the figure is 10% higher in women than men.
It's therefore essential to consider that with these numbers, there a number of youth that are fending for their families yet still thriving in their own informal businesses. I here by conclude by humbly and kindly requesting all well wishers to help us Ugandan Youth with a bail out fund to regain and sustain business momentum when all this comes to an end and economies need to get back up and running.
Any donation towards this goal is donation enough!
