The people of Jabu, Pyawe, and Azhata communities in Abuja daily contend with the great difficulty to access clean and drinkable water. This problem has resulted in numerous outbreaks of Cholera in the past, among other disease outbreaks. These three communities are among the 100 communities across Nigeria that have been penned down to beefit from the CLEWAD Initiative. Residents of these communities trek, sometimes over a kilometre to access FREE clean (not necessarily drinkable) water from another community that only got the water intervention a few years ago. This problem reflects on the education of children in the community. Because, while kids are acquiring Education is class, they are out to fetch water for home use. The said problem heightened during this period of the COrona Virus pandemic, because the Lockdown made it impossible for these rural dwellers to go out to get cleaqn water. With your help, we can provide each of these communities with a Auto-BOREHOLE, and 10,000 litres overhead Water storage tanks, and put an end to the water problem that confronts them. Each of these BOREHOLES is estimated to cost $100,000.
